There has been a lot of speculation about whether Rahne was one of the kids in X2: X-Men United. Some say that she was listed on the computer screen in Stryker's office; she was not. Several other New Mutants were, but not Rahne.

However, she was in Chris Claremont's novel adaptation of the movie.

Some say that Rahne was among the students in Xavier's class in the final scene--specifically, the girl with the odd hairdo. This is not confirmed.
