No other artist put more care into delineating Rahne's form and expressions as Bret Blevins. His run on the New Mutants defined Rahne's look as she grew into a young woman.

Positively the most unfortunate event in New Mutants; issue #55 featured many outstanding drawings of Rahne by Blevins, but the print job was completely botched. I corrected the colors of her face in the center panel. Blurry horrors like the top right panel occurred on nearly every page.

Even Blevins' Rahne in transitional form was cute and feminine.
